Profi by adler: Larch and spruce parquet for your home

Strip planks in domestic softwoods - larch and spruce parquet for your home

Planks in softwoods, such as larch and spruce radiate natural simplicity, warmth and cosiness. In combination with appropriate furnishings they either create a traditional Alpine atmosphere or a younger, more modern décor. In this process each wood has its own strengths and advantages. A larch-wood floor is somewhat harder, but a spruce floor is very popular with many people on account of its light colour.

In our Profi by Adler product line we manufacture three-layer planks with a top layer of about 4 mm and a width of 186 mm and a maximum length of 2200mm from Nordic spruce or Styrian larch. The planks are manufactured with a bevel on the long side and treated with our natural warm, but yet hard-wearing NATURA+ oiled surface.

A selection of colours in softwood flooring

In addition, you have the choice of a variety of surface treatments and nuances of shade. Take a look at our colour palette and find your dream floor in softwood.

The images can only give an impression of the colours and structures of the actual wooden flooring and are not binding, since wood is a natural product and the colours are therefore dependent on the structure and the properties of the wood.

We produce our Profi by adler softwood planks in one grade.

You can find more detailed information on our factory grade in our menu point, About Parquet.

Surface treatment & colour variations Softwood plank Profi by adler

Our surface treatment is based on our NATURA+ oil oxidatively oiled surface treatment on a machine brushed wood structure. This means that the “soft years" are brushed out and you therefore are left with the “hard years".

We can treat our larch planks with lye before delivering them to you; this gives the plank a somewhat bleached look. After the treatment with lye the surface is oiled with either natural or white oil.

For our ANTIK larch planks we use another somewhat specialised treatment to achieve the effect of naturally aged larch-wood flooring.

For private use of your parquet your wooden flooring is ready for you to move in immediately it has been installed. If the wooden floor is to be subjected to further stress, which is principally the case, when the rooms are used for commercial purposes, we recommend a finishing treatment after installation. More detailed information on this is available under About Parquet / NATURA+.

Wood is a natural product. Differences in the substances in the wood and the wood grain can lead to colour deviations in colour treated surfaces. These differences in colour can also occur between different product batches, as well as within a single product batch. This applies in particular to coloured surfaces, since the smoking, staining, lyes and the application of colour pigments can cause variations in shades because of the structure of the wood. However, this is a mark of authenticity for wood as a natural product.

Installation & underfloor heating system Softwood plank Profi by adler

You can install these softwood planks either as a floating installation or install them by full glue spreading.

The thermal resistance of this softwood-based multi-layer plank is approx. 0.133 m²k / W (pursuant to EN14342). This plank is approved for a hot water based underfloor heating system. However, for such an installation it should be glued down over the whole surface. A maximum temperature of the subfloor of 23°C – 28°C should not be exceeded. Please consult our About Parquet installation instructions for the precise guidelines on installation on underfloor heating systems in the Download field and the information in About Parquet.

Care & indoor climate Softwood plank Profi by adler

So that you can enjoy your multi-layer parquet for many years, you must give it the appropriate care.

You should also ensure that you have a healthy indoor climate, not just for your parquet, which consists of wood, a living natural substance, but also for yourself. This means a relative air humidity of approx. 40 – 60% and a pleasant room temperature of 19 – 22°C.

If the air humidity and temperature drop below these reference values, this may cause great harm to your wooden floor.

Certification possibilities Softwood plank Profi by adler

At your request we can produce this engineered softwood floorboard as a PEFC certified parquet; if there is sufficient FSC® certified wood available, then a FSC® certified parquet is possible.

Larch planks with 10 mm total thickness

We also offer our natural, attractive county house planks as two-layer parquet flooring with a lower total thickness. Further information on this is available on our larch plank Maxi by adler.
