The classic 90° herringbone pattern is one of the most timeless laying patterns and is once again enjoying great popularity today. The parquet strips are arranged at right angles to one another, creating the characteristic, elegant herringbone pattern. Depending on the dimensions of the strips, the effect can be customized to range from classic and balanced to modern and spacious.
Our 90° herringbone product line is available exclusively in oak and offers various dimensions as well as a selection of different finishes. This creates a wide range of design possibilities—from a natural and understated look to more striking, textured finishes.
In this way, 90° herringbone combines the classic aesthetics of a traditional parquet pattern with modern options in terms of format and finish.
Color palette for our herringbone floorboards: Herringbone by adler 90°
We offer seven different color shades as standard, all of which undergo our high-quality, oxidatively cured NATURA+ oil treatment. All other colors are also available upon request.
The images can only approximately reflect the colors and textures of the actual parquet and are not binding, as wood is a natural product and the coloration therefore depends on the texture and properties of the wood.
What you should know about Herringbone by adler 90°
These hardwood planks are formaldehyde-free and have received general building authority approval. With an oak top layer, Herringbone by adler 90° also meets fire resistance class Cfl-S1.

The grade offered is equivalent to our Premium/Standard factory grade.
The wood structure is always machine brushed and is then refined with our oxidative NATURA+ oil surface treatment.
For private use the oak strip is ready to use immediately after it has been installed. If the wooden floor is to be subjected to further stress, which is principally the case, when the rooms are used for commercial purposes, we recommend a finishing treatment after installation. More detailed information on this is available under About Parquet / NATURA+.
Wood is a natural product. Differences in the substances in the wood and the wood grain can lead to colour deviations in colour treated surfaces. These differences in colour can also occur between different product batches, as well as within a single product batch. This applies in particular to coloured surfaces, since the smoking, staining, lyes and the application of colour pigments can cause variations in shades because of the structure of the wood. However, this is a mark of authenticity for wood as a natural product.
This short Herringbone by adler 90° plank is two-three-layer and must be installed by the total glue down method.
By virtue of this construction and the low overall thickness, the thermal resistance of this multi-layer plank is approx. 0.079 - 090 m²k / W (pursuant to EN14342). This makes it ideal for installation on a hot water based underfloor heating system.

So that you have a lot of enjoyment of your multi-layer parquet, you must give it the appropriate care.
You should also ensure that you have a healthy indoor climate, not just for your parquet, which consists of wood, a living natural substance, but also for yourself. This means a relative air humidity of approx. 40 – 60% and a pleasant room temperature of 19 – 22°C.
If the air humidity and temperature drop below these reference values, this may cause great harm to you wooden floor.
If required, we can also produce this herring bone parquet flooring as a 100% PEFC certified product. If sufficient FSC® certified wood available, we also can offer a FSC® certified parquet.
