Floorboards made from American Walnut
The American Walnut is a tree growing in all of Northern America, also in the East and down to Florida. The trees grow up to 40 metres high and with a diameter up to 2.5 metres. The American Walnut tree has very decorative and noble heartwood with a deep dark brown to violet-black colour. The sapwood will be greyish brown to light yellow. The elegant grain of the American Walnut lends the wood its unique character, much sought after by the parquet and furniture industries.

American Walnut in 2 grades
We offer American Walnut parquets in “Classic” or “Standard” grades, depending on the type of floor. Both grades will exhibit the natural colouring and typical texture of American Walnut wood.
“Classic”
“Classic” is a mixed grade containing boards with few knots and boards with small to fairly large knots. The floorboards may contain a small percentage of sapwood.
“Sapwood”
The “Sapwood” grade will have small to medium sized knots, sometimes repaired, and a large and conspicuous percentage of sapwood.
Floorboards made from American Black Cherry
American Black Cherry occurs naturally in Central and North America and in Canada. This relatively slim tree may grow to a height of 30 metres. It is coloured somewhat darker, compared to the European Cherry: Its heartwood is reddish brown, with reddish-white sapwood on the outside.

Cherry grading
We can offer our Cherry wood parquet in grades “Premium”, “Classic” and “Standard”, depending on the type of flooring.
“Premium”
Our premium grade Cherry wood floorboards have very few knots and have the typical texture for this type of timber. They have a beautiful natural colour and the sapwood percentage may be minimal. American Cherry wood may contain small, black gum inclusions that are completely natural and characteristic for this wood.
“Standard”
The “Standard” grading also exhibits the typical texture of the wood. A certain percentage of sapwood and smallish knots, sometimes repaired, may also be found. The floorboards may also contain small, black gum inclusions that are completely natural and characteristic for American Cherry wood.
“Classic”
The Classic grade is a mixed grade containing boards with few knots and also those with small to larger knots, including a percentage of sapwood. This grade distinguishes itself by natural colouring, a texture typical for the wood and the characteristic gum inclusions.
